Post doc position at the University Heart and Vascular Center UKE Hamburg

Scientific Staff

Our research group uses models of cardiovascualr biology and disease to understand molecular mechanisms of heart failure and arrhythmias. We employ a wide range of research techniques from molecular biology to functional cardiac assessment and quantification of biological molecules in patient samples, including hypothesis-driven and broad bioinformatics approaches.

  • Functional assessment of cardiac tissue and cells, e.g. using electrophysiology, optical mapping, and patch clamping
  • molecular and cell biological methods in human tissue and in relevant disease models, histology and advanced imaging methods
  • Research involving genetically modified mice and stem-cell derived cardiac cells and tissue
  • Active involvement in the build-up of our research group
  • supervision by experienced research leaders
  • team science with local and international collaborators
