Harry Crijns Research Grant - Deadline: 18 September 2024

The Harry Crijns Research Grant, established by the Hart en vaat onderzoekfonds Limburg, is periodically awarded to young scientists engaged in clinical cardiovascular research, thereby contributing to the realization of the foundation's objectives.

Professor Harry Crijns was the chairman of the Department of Cardiology at Maastricht UMC+ and a board member of CARIM until December 2020. Throughout his long and successful career in translational and clinical cardiology, Professor Crijns made countless contributions to cardiovascular science, particularly in the field of atrial fibrillation. He played a significant role in shaping cardiovascular research at the local, national, and European levels and had a profound impact on the careers of many assistants and colleagues, as well as on the lives of numerous patients and their families.

The Hart en vaat onderzoekfonds Limburg, part of the Health Foundation Limburg, has therefore decided to establish the Harry Crijns Research Grant. This grant, amounting to € 25,000, is periodically awarded to young scientists engaged in clinical cardiovascular research, thereby contributing to the realisation of the foundation's objectives.
