Anne Raafs wins at NVVC 

Last week, the NVVC (Nederlandse Vereniging voor Cardiologie) congress took place at Papendal, Arnhem. There was a great variety of research sessions, including the abstract sessions in which researchers presented their research projects. In the session ‘Atrial fibrillation and stroke’, PhD-candidate Anne Raafs talked about the incremental prognostic value of left atrial strain in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy and won the price for ‘best oral presentation’. Anne is a fourth year PhD-student at the department of Cardiology, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Stephane Heymans.
