| Dr. Arts studied Electronical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology, where he graduated in 1971. At the department of Mechanical Engineering of the same university he worked on models of cardiac mechanics, which formed the basis of his PhD thesis obtained at Universiteit Maastricht in 1978. From 1991-1996 he was professor in Biomedical Engineering at Twente University. Recently he was closely involved in setting up the curriculum of the Biomedical Engineering school at Eindhoven University of Technology. Currently he has also an appointment as professor in the field of modelling of biological structures at Eindhoven University of Technology |
