After his young investigator award at the International Symposium on Mechanisms of Vasodilatation (June 2009, Sendai, Japan) and his travel grant from the American Physiological Society (APS) to the ET-11 Symposium (October 2009, Montreal, Canada), Merlijn Meens has now been granted a travel award from the American Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET) to attend Experimental Biology (April 2010, Anaheim, CA, USA).
Merlijn works on physiological antagonism of the vascular effects of endothelin-1 in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology (supervisor Professor Jo De Mey) of CARIM. Merlijn is a PhD-student from the Dutch Top Institute Pharma (TIPharma).
